We look forward to sharing our adventures in beekeeping, apiculture, hunting, camping and natural foods! We'd love to cultivate a community who share in both beekeeping and our hunting traditions. Natural organic foods and agribusiness can go hand in hand for a sustainable food supply and overall health of humanity by getting back to an all organic diet without chemicals and GMOs.

trees, bees, & fence.

well, another unevnetful year behind us, here at the ranch. this year has been eventful! got some more fence put up and we have started to convert the ranch into a pecan orchard! we are adding 4 more bee hives as well. the hogs are still a problem along with one of the nieghbor's cows... 2 of them (calves in tow) knocked over my feeder and broke it open to eat up the 200 lbs of corn. this was my third feeder in 2 years ruined by cows and pigs!

on the bright side, it was cooler and overcast on the last day of planting. my sun burn wasn't as bad as it could be... i forgot to grab sunblock before our trip to the ranch.

pics of me and my dad planting the 60th pecan tree! our goal is 300 in total by 2026.

WTF?

Somebody left this on my widshield. Anyone know what this is or means? I recognise a few of the smaller symbols, like the octogram in the middle and the double fish symbol the encircles the whole thing.

My dog is hilarious!

I wanted to share a little about my dog, Antoine (we call him Andy most of the time). Pictures are worth a thousand words, so it has been said. He is a big softy, loving and not exactly a lap dog. It doesn't stop him from laying on you though. I think he is a Catahoula or Louisiana Cattle Dog. His eyes, coat and demeanor are typical of the breed. His left eye is marbled, the top half is brown and bottom half is blue (like his right eye). He loves to chase anything small and furry. He's never caught a squirrel or bunny and frankly, I doubt he knows what to do with one if he ever caught one.

Every so often I take him with me in the Jeep to the ranch and let him explore while I work or just relax in nature. All he does is mark every few feet and stick his nose into everything out there! I have had to pull a few cactus needles out of his nose and paws because he found a new smell. I wish I had video of the time my wife and I let him chase some wild turkeys. That was funny! Also ...
